To be an employee is not easy, especially when your right is being look down on, most times he may be ask to do things that he or she may not like, well they are some people who still exist and they are doing fine in their job no matter how they are being treated they are still happy with their colleagues and boss.
For one to be an employee he or she should note the following:

To be committed to your job:
One need to take his job as paramount important, by following they company rules and regulations by acting on them effectively most times they might be love by others around him, and as well be fit for a managing position.

Showing respect:
Most cases the employee need to show respect to those higher than him in rank or position, by doing as he is instructed for the benefits of the organization.

Be sociable to all:
How we treat others would show that we are business minded, many client want to be treated in a nice way so as an employee one should be ready to make his client feel at home not the other way round.
