When it comes to Content Management Systems, WordPress and Drupal stand out as the leading names. They both power some very popular sites world over. There are different schools of thought on which one is better. In this post, I am going to explore the things that sets them apart and leave you to make a choice which part of the divide you are going to follow
1. Usability- When it comes to ease of use, I stand with WordPress. Every developer would agree that WordPress is so easy that even a beginner can set up a site in ten minutes. Drupal on the other hand is a bit more technical and steep.
2. SEO Optimization- Users of WordPress enjoy amazing plug ins that would help them in SEO. These plugins are not found on Drupal. However, some SEO tools that are available in WordPress as plugins are available on Drupal by default. However, WordPress takes this one.
3. Security- When it comes to security, you cannot fault Drupal on this. Their security measures and response to security issues is the very reason the White House is a patron of this Content Management System. We know that WordPress is more prone to attack by malware and other security threats than any CMS software.
Depending on what are your priorities, pick out your own.
