When it comes to Content Management Systems, WordPress and Drupal stand out as the leading names. They both power some very popular sites world over. There are different schools of thought on which one is better. In this post, I am going to explore the things that sets them apart and leave you to make a choice which part of the divide you are going to follow

1. Usability- When it comes to ease of use, I stand with WordPress. Every developer would agree that WordPress is so easy that even a beginner can set up a site in ten minutes. Drupal on the other hand is a bit more technical and steep.

2. SEO Optimization- Users of WordPress enjoy amazing plug ins that would help them in SEO. These plugins are not found on Drupal. However, some SEO tools that are available in WordPress as plugins are available on Drupal by default. However, WordPress takes this one.

3. Security- When it comes to security, you cannot fault Drupal on this. Their security measures and response to security issues is the very reason the White House is a patron of this Content Management System. We know that WordPress is more prone to attack by malware and other security threats than any CMS software.

Depending on what are your priorities, pick out your own.

If you want to run a small website, or even a small online store, wordpress might be just fine, however, if you plan on building a huge website, or ecommerce sites that not only gets tons of traffic but also have a lot of registered users (buyers and sellers) wordpress might not be enough, you need something better. That's where content management system like drupal comes in. Drupal commerce is the best ecommerce solution available if you want to build an ecommerce site without having to spend a lot of money on ecommerce solution. You need some level of experience while running drupal.

It could be either a blog or a shop or the both in the same time but for images does not support external image provider, images must be uploaded on the platform and not external link like Wordpress one, this is an example of difference between Druapl and Wordpress.
