Though this is just an assumption but the fact is that there is always some factors that influence the volatility of cryptocurrencies. For instance, the American election and the activites of Donald Trump affected the price of bitcoin.
Also, when Elon Musk bought the dodge coins sow months ago, the price of dodge coins also rose. This is to show that some people's activites at times can determine the price of bitcoins and other cryptocurrency.
