Why some tech companies phased out

Some tech companies have phased out.
For example, Google and Facebook both have a lot of employees: 50,000 and 130,000 respectively. So they can afford to pay people well and give them benefits.

But some other companies don't have that luxury: they're small and don't have enough money to take care of their staff. Some of these companies sell software that other companies use, or make hardware components for other companies' products; so they may not make much money themselves.

So instead of paying people well and giving them benefits, they can just ask the customers to pay them well and give them benefits! They don't have to worry about going out of business if their customers decide to leave; they just need their customers to keep buying their products over time until one day their customers stop buying them at all (or at least stop paying for them).
