A village health worker is a person who helps lead family and relative towards better health. Some village health workers receive training and help, from an organisation that create programs for them, especially ministry of health. Health worker is anyone who takes part in making his or her village a healthier place to live. They treat sick people and kind to them and the family relatives. They also share their knowledge to the people of that particular village to know what they supposed to do when there is epidemic disease in the village and how to rescue people's life. And how to get first aid boxes to be using regularly to tackle some simple health problem. They also train them to have time to work with traditional healers and midwives to make their job progressive in the village.

The village doctors here are in the rural area who are called Barrio Doctors (and nurses). For a rural town they are provided with a health center that is a not so small clinic. Health workers are provided as well so the doctor can have the proper assistance. In concept the Barrio Doctor is good but I saw a problem when I went to a rural town before the pandemic. The doctor in the health center was obviously "drinking" not only in the way he talks and behaves but also he smells of liquor. Anyway, that may be an isolated case. If the rural health centers will have a good budget then there will be equipment like dialysis machine or the ECG or s-ray facility. That will save the rural folks in going to the provincial capitol for such medical needs. That difficulty in going to the city may be the reason why some rural folks turn to alternative healing.
