The best social media platform to promote your event is Instagram. It's a lot easier to reach people who are already interested in your event and get them excited about it.
On Instagram, you can post images of the venue and other things that will make your event look more interesting. You can also use hashtags so that people who are looking for similar events know how to find yours if they're searching for something like it.
You can also create a hashtag for your event and make sure everyone using that hashtag knows exactly what it is before they start posting pictures of themselves at the event!
If you want more targeted results, however, then Facebook is the way to go. Facebook has an audience that's very targeted in terms of demographics and interests (and if you're not sure what these are yet, don't worry: i got some tips for you!).
You can also use both platforms at once! If you have an event coming up soon and want some extra exposure for it on Facebook, but still want more than just a few hundred likes on Instagram, then go ahead and post both at once!
