Every entrepreneur starts business with the aim of making profits and that is all what business entails. According to the statistics in my country 70% of businesses collapse under two years of their start. One of the main reasons behind this is the reduction of customers or clients as time elapses on the newly started businesses.
This is because when the business is new on the market, the entrepreneurs tend to employ every quality like being polite, courtesy, caring, attentive, humble, understanding, provision of quality customer services among other good qualities to their customers. However as time elapses the business owners get used to the business and most especially when the business is making good profits business owners begin to develop pride and the quality of services being offered to the customers starts deteriorating day by day with customers fleeing one by one to search for the service satisfaction else where. It's from this point that the business starts to go down and eventually collapsing.

To retain customers in a business you have to offer value, I think it is pretty self explanatory, if you want to understand the strategy that other companies use to retain customers just look at the companies or brands that you patronise and ask yourself why do you keep on going back to these companies and what are they doing to retain you as a customer, understanding this will give you an understanding on how to retain customers.

But with an excellent customer service you can never go wrong with that, if you offer your customers a good service, they will stick with you for a very long time and they will tell other about you, also a great product goes a long way in retaining customers, what comes to my mind is Apple company, there products are really great and it is no surprise when people line up at their stores to cop their latest product.

There are so many things you can do to retain your customers. Some of them are very litle things that you can easily overlook but they have proven to be effective in retaining customers. One of the most important ways of winning a customer over is to be polite. Some business persons are very rude such that anytime they say something, one customer is gone. Customers are emotional people and appealing to their emotions would retain them. Another thing is to offer after sales services. When you don't undertake after sales service, the cutomers might feel used simply because you are not checking up on them.

Call your customers. Try to establish some kind of bonds with them. This would surely make them to stay. Another thing is to do promos and discounts. By so doing, customers would stick around with hope that they would get to win the promo offers.

I think with this, you can retain your customers.

There are many ways that business owners can do to retain their customers, including customer service, maintaining product quality, affordable prices and guaranteed quality, easy access to products or products that are always available, offering promos and discounts, giving gifts on Christmas and New Year's holidays. . Create a community, so business owners will understand customer complaints. You can also apply referrals system to get new customers.

Retaining customers is basically achieved by good customer relationship. Like the popular saying goes "the customer is always right". So a business person who do not have good customer relationship can not retain customers. You can have a very good business set up and branding but without good customer relationship you can not retain customers

Retaining a customer should always be based on the relationship you will have towards them. I think taking customers views and feedback is very important in every successful business. Customers feedback back will help you know the kind of product that you are producing.
