Politics is often believed to play a huge role in the business community. Many businessmen and top corporate owners usually have links and connections with politicians. This is because the political stability and conditions could have a big impact ion the businesses. As far as Real estate market is concerned, I believe that politics could play some role in the stabilization or fluctuations in the market. This is because political events in a country is believed to influence the decisions of investors a lot. If the conditions are favorable, then investors might invest money or they may withdraw capital at any time.

Another reason why politics might play a role is because of the policies made by the politicians in the country. When a politician gains power, he usually try to make tax policies and other forms of crucial polices that might have an effect on real estate business and investments. The third reason why politics might play a role is due to the situation of law and order. When the law and order of a country is in perfect order, real estate market might prosper and we know that law and order is directly related to political conditions in a country. What are some other ways politics could have an impact on real estate?

I don't really know much about other countries as a case of study But here in Nigeria the politics and the leaders in position can seriously affect the price of real estate and everything about real estate. When a leader in a position is not looking toward achieving success and better economy for the country or state he or she is ruling , there is high possibility that the price of real estate properties be higher whereas it will be completely the other way around if there is good and developed economy depending on the leader.

Currently all the leaders in our country does not really care about the future generation and they are not working towards making things comfortable for everyone. Everybody in the government are just looking for the best opportunity to embezzled the government fund for their selfish interest which is not the best option.

Because of this dubious activities everything in the country becomes difficult , the economy of our country becomes very much unpredictable, our currency against the US dollars becomes very high because of the depreciating economy of our country. When leaders in high position are ready to work effectively everything including real estate be better .

The real estate industry is one of the most important parts of any economy. From commercial buildings to residential homes, there are many different types of real estate that are bought and sold on a regular basis. To understand what role politics plays in the real estate business, it's important to understand some basic information about politics as well as how they relate to the industry itself.

The main role that politics plays in the real estate business is that they are used to influence public opinion on various issues. For example, if there was a piece of legislation passed by Congress that would affect how much money you could borrow from a mortgage company, then this type of political lobbying would be used to convince people that this bill was good for them and their families. A good example of this type of lobbying would be when Congress passed the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform Act. The purpose behind this bill was so that consumers could be better protected when dealing with financial institutions like banks or credit unions.

Another aspect of politics that has an effect on real estate is taxation policy. When governments impose taxes on property sales or other transactions involving real estate, they often do so without considering all the facts surrounding these transactions. As a result, they tend not to take into account things such as whether or not someone

Let me give you an actual example. Manny is a real estate developer. He got rich in that business. When he ran and won as congressman it was obvious that he entered politics for the benefit of his business. True enough a new road called “Daang Hari” was built to cross his big land that he later on developed into a subdivision. They say that his profit was tenfold because of the development. Manny ran for president in 2010 but unfortunately he lost. In 2016 elections he supported the winning president. Now his son became the secretary of public works. New roads were again built to cross his lands in other provinces. It is not a surprise that Manny is now the richest man in our country. And that is all because of politics that his real estate business has benefited from. Looking back if Manny had become president in 2010 then he would have been the richest in 2 years time.

Many years ago, when there was a civil conflict in my home country the property price skyrocketed in the city areas and the price in the hinterland dropped substantially. That's because people were leaving remote areas to live in the city due to the fear of rebels. Now, the armed conflict has been settled, the property price in towns and cities are stable but in the remote areas, it is skyrocketing. Once the government banned the banks from investing in real estate, which lead to almost a crash in the property market. The government's policy affects the house market positively as well as negatively.

We know what politicians love doing with the common wealth of the citizens of our dear country . In my country the political class are very greedy and can do anything to retain power and ensure nothing good comes to the people of my country, year in year out they make sure they keep appropriating funds for invisible projects all these is done in a bid so that they can acquire more and more properties. They operate through money laundry and they use the funds that was meant for the public good to buy estates and landed properties with different names all of them are linked to them.

Some of the biggest estates in most of the advanced and developing countries all around the world are own by them and they pretend and come back home. And act like they are trying to carry out a project here all these again is done to still amass more wealth.

There was a Nigerian politician that died recently and they traced about 1,600 houses to just one man, this is not to mention the billions of naira that he has in account. There are some that even allocate government lands for their personal use.
