The major cause of failure as a fashion designer is not being able to meet the deadline set by your customers and the quality of your designs not being up to standard. A lot of tailor do not have the patience to finish their apprenticeship and they rush off to open their own shops thinking they've learnt all about fashion designing. When they start getting orders, they would find out their designs isn't at par with their competitors thereby causing failure .

Well... Lack of skills is one of it like you said because it's not about just sewing there is need for skill and creativity and that is the most paramount... Language barrier is not a problem if you ask me...ladi kwali was one of Nigerian greatest pottress yet there was language barrier between her and the white before she learnt english.... When you have skills language is nothing... And we'll location is the soul of fashion world... If the location is not pure and suitable then it is well.

Fashion designing is a good and trending business and the importance of it cannot be overemphasize, but I come to see how some people that get involved in it fail woefully while because they don't have the adequate knowledge needed. Lack of experience causes failure in the business, hidden of location also cause failure etc.
