Many people have the desire to work in other countries (overseas), of course with different motivations there are those who want a better salary, different work experience etc. But many people are still hesitant to start a career in another country, even though they have many opportunities. To have a career or to work abroad is not easy, there are many preparations and skills that we must have, especially the ability of several international languages, the high level of competition for job vacancies, will require us to have our own advantages. If you are still in doubt, here are some of the advantages of a career abroad:
1. The advantages of working and having a career abroad can be used as pride and increase self-esteem.
2. Makes us more independent, because we live far away from the family of father, mother and brother will make us more independent, and dare to make decisions.
3. Be more disciplined and more professional. We live in a different environment and culture so we must be more disciplined and more concerned with career/work than personal interests.
4. Explore and get to know other cultures. When we are in a different environment of course we must be able to adapt and interact with local residents, we will also have more opportunities to get to know their culture,

When you work abroad, you have the opportunity to see the world from a whole new perspective from the one you have always known and followed. It widens your horizon and expands the scope of your mindset. It affords you a chance to compare and contrast different systems and cultures.

As a Nigerian, the benefits of working abroad are different. First of all, you get better pay and better working conditions as compared to your home country. I would jump at the chance to work in Europe. The exchange rate differentials make the money you earn more valuable. You get to have the true feel of your work. Apart from that, the system, way of life, and culture of Europe and America are superior to ours, so I stand to gain more working there than working in my home country. I think the benefits depend in where a person hails from and what counts as abroad for that person.
