There are many ways of investing. You have to find the right one that suits you. No form of investment is sustainable by itself. Money is effective in its use. And for many sustainable investments, the good things take time.

Any good thing has to get settled first. Socially, ecologically and sustainably oriented projects need time to be implemented. Also, it is important to note that like any investment, a sustainable investment should also suit you and your investment criteria.

Invest with longer terms and let your money take effect. Investments in companies which borrow capital have a term. This is the period from the start of an investment to its repayment. The term has a direct impact on availability.

Commodities

Commodities are tangible items that you can invest in through futures. For example, common commodities to invest are oil and natural gas, and agricultural products like corn, cattle, soybeans, and more.
When you invest in commodities, you're counting on supply and demand to drive the price of the commodity higher than what you paid for it. You typically purchase a future contract, which sets a price. If the market price is higher than your future contract, you're making money.
The most common way for investors to invest in commodities with just $1,000 is through ETFs or ETNs.

Just like the poster said, there are various ways one can decide to invest his or her money. While some wants to invest on tangible things like investing in agriculture or even agricultural produces, other prefer intangible things like gold, cryptocurrency and the likes. In all investments, time matters.

For me, the best investment is in real estate. It can be a small lot or a lot with a structure. Our plan is to have a parcel of land in the rural area where we can build our retirement home. We can sell our present home in the suburban town or have it rented for additional income for our old age years.
