1. Set up your farm
The first step to managing a poultry farm is to set it up. You need to figure out what type of birds you're raising, how you're going to house them, how much land they need, and where they fit in the overall scheme of your farm. It's important at this stage to make sure that you have everything in place for the birds' welfare, and that you have enough resources and expertise on hand to properly care for them.

2. Keep things tidy
A clean farm leads to healthy birds, so keeping things clean is one of the most basic requirements for poultry farming. Don't forget about any nooks and crannies: birds can get into all sorts of places, so it's important to be vigilant about cleaning up from top to bottom and everywhere in between.

3. Adequate Space
Make sure your chickens have adequate space to roam about and eat. This can be achieved by having a large fenced-in area, or by rotating areas where the chickens are allowed to roam.

4. Shelter
Provide shelter from the elements. Your hens will need a safe place to get out of the rain and wind, as well as a warm place to stay in cold weather! You can use thick plastic sheets, or build a coop for them.

5. Cleanliness
Clean their water and food regularly to avoid bacteria build-up that could make your chickens sick.

The poultry business is a business that requires so much diligence. The margins between success and failure are very thin and sometimes factors beyond your control can even crash you. Please don't try to overstock. Do the quantity that your capacity in terms of housing and finances can carry. The next important thing to do is to make sure your source is highly trustworthy. When that is done, you can then apply these management tips in the original post and succeed. If you don't approach it that way, even with those management tips, you would still fail.

I have to disagree that it is quite an easy job. It really is not. It is tasking especially in the early days when you have to be checking the chicks almost on an hourly basis. Even at maturity, a layers farm has to be checked on every 2 hours to avoid the hens drinking the eggs. It is a profitable venture if done correctly.

There was a time I and my sister establish a poultry farming business then , I think that was around 2020 . it was one of the most unsuccessful business in our life because the business was not profitable for us . That is why we suspended the business until probably in the future when we have much advance idea on how the business can be run perfectly without any problem

What happened was that the business was running perfectly most especially when the chicken were being brought into a building we have set for them. They grow perfectly and energetically for a period of time of 1 month without problem but suddenly after one month surprisingly the chicken started dying without us knowing what could be the reason. The most greatest shock of it all was waking up the next morning and seeing that out of 100 chicken 35 of them were dead.
