There is always a level of competition that any business have to overcome before coming into the spotlight and make waves surpassing existing ones.

But the competition is always a tough one and there are things that will determine your ability to beat that competition. There are also things that can help you stand out with your business and I will be sharing a few of them.

• Firstly, you must know that as a newly set up business, your main aim is not actually competing but getting customers. You must work on advertising and use as many advertising methods as possible and applicable.

• Also, you should look at your competitors that are doing well. Your competitors are not your enemies at all. You can also learn from them. But it'll be wise that you don't openly show them you are doing so.

• Work on the weaknesses of your competitors. They may lack good customer care, or a good service environment and etc. When you improve on that, you are directly making your business stand out and beat competition.

• Try as much as possible to offer the best services that will be appealing to customers. Things like bonuses and discount will go a long way if they are affordable by you.

I'm currently looking at a new business, less than six months as a key staff. This has made me to be considerate of how to boost sales and compete with others in the same niche.

One thing I've done so far is that to be the competition you have to observe them and see what they are doing right to gain customers. Advertising is not allowed in my nich being healthcare, so we have to be smart to be known. When you observe your competition carefully, you can pick up seemingly small but very important information about what they are doing right that you can emulate or what you can avoid.

It also helps to stand out if you brand yourself. You can create custom dressing, mode of operations and even your environment can be branded. Use something that will evoke emotion people won't forget easily. What we do is modify our system so customers can have a feeling of making major decisions while buying.
