Water is a liquid which in it's pure form is colourless and odourless. It's chemically composed of Hydrogen and Oxygen in the ratio of 2:1 as a compound.

Water biologically makes up to about 70% of the body by mass and is a very important and vital component of the body's build up
Water is very important in the body because of the following roles it plays in the metabolism of the body

First of all, water is a lubricant and acts to speed up metabolic rates in the human body. Lack of water will lead to lower rates of metabolism which in turn lowers the rate of energy production in the body.

Secondly, water as earlier explained is a major component of the body build. Lack of it will lead to dehydration which in severe cases leads to even dead.

These and more are few reasons why water is a vital part of our lives and most be taken in as usual as possible to avoid the consequences which lack of it may cause.
