The Importance of Cover letters in Job applications

This might sound surprising as most job seekers do not know what a Cover letter is. A Cover letter is a letter of introduction accompanying your CV or Resume. It introduces you to the Recruitment manager stating in summary your qualifications, your skills, your goals and ambitions and why you are a best fit for the company you are applying to. Most Recruitment officers usually use the cover letter and Resume of applicants to peruse the writing ability and sentence construction capacity of applicants whilst getting to know the applicant through his/her application.

As a rule of thumb, if a over letter isn't stated in the advertisement, apply with a cover letter and your Resume attached to it. And if it is a requirement in application, they you'd know that your cover letter needs to be outstanding.

Most people that drop CV don't use to include the cover letter with it. A cover letter is what shows your skill and your experience for a required job description. One of the benefits of a cover letter is that it boosts the chance of the person getting the job.
