In our economic culture buying stuff in the traditional convenience store was usually on credit. Most of the regular customers have a notebook in the store where the attendant would write the purchases. Normally the payment is on payday. However, the credit system only works for old time customers who are well-known to the owner of the store. That system worked well when I was young.
Now some independent convenience stores are still giving credit to the neighbors but there is a certain change in the credit arrangement – the total purchases has an add on of 10% for the payment. Sometimes the customer can haggle for a 5% add on only and some even have no add on. You know the neighborly gesture of some people, they are being too kind. But still, business is business so if a customer couldn’t pay on time then the credit line would be cut. Do you have that credit line in your country?
