The rule of thumb is the longer your visitors stay on your store, the higher is the chance of converting them into your customers. In other words, if your visitors spend a long time in your store, it is very likely that they will buy something from your store. This rule applies to online stores as well as offline store. If you want to improve sales, you need to build a strategy that will keep your visitors on your site longer, which will help you earn more money from your store. The longer they stay, the higher is the chance of conversion.

If you own a website, you first have to work on your graphic user interface, the things they see and interact with, work on your website loading speed and do not bug them with unending and unnecessary ads. Then make sure your products are captivating from the pictures to the packaging. Your product description too must be detailed. Don't write what you don't offer, they won't let it slide if they sense your lies. Present all the basic information needed and give them room to get more if need be.

When your visitors come to your store, they are usually attracted through the promotional campaigns that helped them to learn about your store. Or perhaps that have heard about it through people they know. Just because you have visitors does not mean sales are guaranteed. Sales occur only when the visitors find the appropriate product for a good price. Therefore, when you promote something, you need to offer exactly the same thing that you are promoting. You also need to provide offer that your customers cannot resist.
