You can create an online store on your own website (with your custom domain and hosting, or using ecommerce platform like shopify) or on a third party ecommerce marketplace (Etsy, eBay, Amazon, etc.). However, creating an online store is just the first step for your business. The main part of your online business is generating sales. So, how do you do it?

Sell Via Facebook

Create a Facebook page. The name you choose and the niche you choose should exactly match your store niche.

Share products and start building followers. In the beginning, it is really difficult to build followers, therefore, you will have to boost your post. If you spend $10-$20, you can easily build 1-2k followers. You can continue building followers through advertising

Sell Via Tiktok

You can either build tiktok account and promote your products through your videos and use Tiktok advertising. The second option can generate sales in a couple of days, while the first method takes time. The first method is also sustainable.

Sell Via Instagram

If you have built 10 k followers, you can create a shot and sell directly through the platform but even if you do not meet that requirement, you can start sharing your products and then linking back to your online store.

You need traffic on your online store to sell your products. You can bring traffic to your store through different methods such as SEO, social media sites, email marketing, and other digital marketing methods. If you do not know the knowledge and skills to build traffic on your site, you cannot sell any products. Social media can be effective traffic sources. However, this will work only when you have managed to build a huge followers.
