Roles of business policy

I just talked about business policy in my last post. So there are definitely roles it partake in a business.
For a business policy to be effective, it has to have these followings
1. It must be reliable
2. It must be definite
3. It must be comprehensive
1. It must be reliable in the sense that the business organization must be able to have trust in it. That will give confidence to abide by it

2. It must be definite:- if it is not definite, it will be hard for the workers to know how the business operates which might later cause problem for the workers in relating with the their job

3. it must be comprehensive:- it must contain all the necessary things that will help the workers to understand what they are supposed to do
 
A business policy must be appropriate for the business. An example is a small store with shirt as the uniform of the staff. It would be absurd if you will make the manager wear a suit and tie. Usually the business plan is focused on the operation of the business. The rules and guidelines should be achievable by the employees.
