You've probably heard people say that they're prone to panic attacks. But what does that even mean?

Panic attacks happen when your body goes into overdrive, making it impossible for you to control your emotions. You can feel like you're about to die, you might feel like you're going crazy and losing touch with reality, or maybe you don't feel like yourself at all.

Above are three simple methods to prevent panic attacks:

1) Take deep breaths: When you feel overwhelmed by fear or stress, take several deep breaths before forcing yourself to calm down. By breathing slowly, deeply and deeply again, your body will release the chemicals that cause anxiety and adrenaline rush.

2) Drink water: When you're feeling anxious, drink a glass of water first thing in the morning or afternoon before bedtime. Water helps keep toxins from building up in your system and causing more anxiety attacks later on in life!

3) Practice mindfulness: Take time each day to focus on your own thoughts and feelings, rather than allowing them to overwhelm you or drive you into an intense state of panic or anxiety.
