Channel of distribution can also be seen as the chain of distribution. Well it could be refers to the various stage or channels through which finished goods are being move from the manufacturer or producer to the final consumers. The channel of distribution is the path through which goods move from the producer or manufacturer to the final consumers
Process or medium of distribution include the following :

Middlemen :
The middlemen or agents are the human elements involved in the distribution of goods from the manufacturer to the final consumers. The middlemen are the wholesaler and retailers.

Transportation :
This is another important means or medium through which the finished goods are moved by either air, land or by water means from the manufacturer to the final consumers. The means or mediums of transportation are by aeroplanes, ship, cars lorries etc

Advertising :
This is another medium of taking the product to the consumer, Advertising is the process of creating awareness in the minds of the public about the existence of a product. Advertising may be used to stimulate demands so as to increase sales.
