A neurological condition called narcolepsy results in abrupt episodes of daytime sleepiness. The cause of narcolepsy is unknown, but it's thought to be due to an autoimmune response in the brain.

There are several treatments for narcolepsy. The first of these is known as a "fasting therapy." This involves skipping meals for two or three days before starting treatment.

The second treatment method is known as "partial sleep deprivation," which involves going without sleep every night for eight hours or less. This can take place over two nights, or it can be done over one night while you're awake with only partial sleep deprivation techniques such as meditation or yoga.

The third treatment option is called "naps." Napping occurs when you take short naps during the day, which helps you stay awake longer than usual and gives your body time to recover from all the sleeping at night!
