We are a startup called Neonious Biotech. We work on improving in silico drug screening and discovery in quality and speed and are pioneers of in silico drug analysis and prediction of adverse reactions and safety.
The idea is that we are building a network to help drug design and auditing. We are building this network out of people who would like to run our software for molecular dynamics and docking simulations, getting in return their share of what the research groups pay. Molecular dynamic simulations are simulations of the movement of atoms and molecules on the computer. And docking simulations help to understand which proteins active ingredients of drugs interact with.
Our company has already been talking to drug development companies and research groups and receiving positive feedback. This resulted into the first paid simulations already being scheduled for September 2021. The sponsor of the first paid simulations has enough simulations in his pipeline and has committed to run some of these simulations on the Neonious network as a test. This will start in August 2021.
We are in the beta-test phase now, and everyone is invited to take part by installing the Neonious simulation software on their computer and run simulations in exchange for MDSIM tokens which can be traded to real currency.
The software is now already published, ready to be installed. Even if no paid simulations run yet, test simulations can be started with a press of the button, to make sure the system fulfills all requirements and is ready for the real simulations starting August.
Earnings are calibrated to 15 USD worth of MDSIM tokens per 24 hours of running MD simulations on GeForce RTX 3080 (other GPUs’ yield depend on GPU speed), 2.5x than can be earned with Ethereum mining.
If the user is also mining Ethereum, this does not have to stop when simulations run. The mining can continue, and the two operations only have a small performance impact on each other (simulations utilize CPU in addition to GPU and cannot utilize GPU constantly).
