The gig economy has given businesses some advantages when it comes to ease in accessing labour, both skilled and unskilled. But that notwithstanding, not all business would be able to take advantage of the gig economy. Below are some things a business can do to take advantage of the gig economy:

1) A business must embrace technology because it is what is used to allocate and streamline tasks in the gig economy. Most gig workers work remotely and there is a need for a robust IT infrastructure to take advantage of this.

2) Organisational processes must have the capacity to be broken down to smaller tasks for gig workers to jump on. This allows gig workers to know what the goal for each task is.

3) Adopt a pro communication stance that would allow seamless communication between the company and the gig workers as they handle different t

I think the most important thing for a business to take advantage of the gig economy is technology. Any business that doesn't have technological infrastructure can't access the gig economy. And you must have integrity as a business to be able to take maximal advantage of the gig economy. That's why many small businesses struggle to take advantage of the gig economy because workers there don't know them nor trust their pedigree but that can be built with time if the business is serious.
