Since when God created the Earth , land has been considered to be nature free gift . Today land does not only include land surfaces of the Earth but all other free gifts of nature like natural resources which the Earth provides like : Forest , mineral resources , Rivers , oceans , and the atmosphere above . Land is considered as a limited and fixed supply to the factors of production , also it is important to know that the quality and value of land varies from one place to another this is because some areas of land and more fertile while others are not . In today's world human beings have used Land as a means of earning a living below are some of the ways and purposes in which the use land .

Farming purposes : individuals have been able to cultivate both food and cash crops with the help of land in existence . Food and crops such as maize , yam , coco yam , cassava , potatoes etc . which are essential for human consumption have been made possible as a result of land .

Construction purposes : social amenities produced by the government and other governmental parastatals I made possible with the availability of land how is this so ? Raw materials such as granite and limestones are used in the construction of social amenities like roads , airport , railway , seaports , refineries etc which are essential to carry out business activities . All of these are made available because of land
