Is business better or government job for a person?

I have always thought of this question in my mind that if the two ways i.e. business and government job pays the same, then what is better?

If you talk of load and pressure involved in the two works, certainly government job doesn't contain much load and people can do their job without any pressure there. But, when it comes of business and it's outcomes then its outcomes are quite unpredictable I would say, it would give you too much or can make you nothing after doing a lot of investment. Although, in long term business has always helped as it has not only served for the person after he delegates the business to other people, also they play a role in the nation's economy then too.
On the other hand, government jobs can just serve one family after retirement.

I certainly can't speak for everyone seeing this thread . But what I know is that as a result of our subconscious mind human beings have different likeness and so when it come to job opportunities some people might prefer working under the government while others would prefer working privately . it is also important to note that a lot of people in the world today love to be there on boss , and will not want to live under the shadow or arms of anyone to earn a living or to fend for themselves that is why they prefer owning their own private businesses rather than working for the government .

On the other hand due to the country's political ideology and economic system individuals are restricted to establish private businesses , especially in countries practicing socialism private individuals work under the government to earn a living , the have no course for choice . So the government provide jobs with attractive salaries to accommodate individuals from different areas of the country . Personally I prefer to work privately , although individuals said that private jobs are burdensome and cumbersome than governmental jobs yet the advantage that private jobs has over government jobs is that you can't be inevitably fired or sacked .

There are so many conditions that was not defined in the questions like if I decide to go for the business will I be given money to start or will I be the one to hustle to gather the capital to start the business and if I decide to go for the government job at what level at they going to place me? Will it be from the lowest level or grade. All these question has to be answered first before one can be able to make an informed discussion hence it will be quite challenging to make a decision working totally on assumptions.
By lets assume the money to start up my desired business will be granted, if that be the case I will go for having a business, then I will establish something very big and employ so many people that is willing and ready to work. And I know Nina few years time my organization will even go global beyond the shores of my country and there will be so many lives that will be touched positively because of me. And I will not even remember that there is a government unless when am paying them their tax.

I would say that it is all about choice. Some people prefer government jobs due to the job security and the pension gotten after retirement. The truth is that government jobs are not that stressful.
Being a business owner comes with a lot of responsibilities ,from sourcing for a capital , to getting funds for other areas of the business, bringing in new strategies for the success of the business,being able to outshine other competitors in the same line of business.
Personally, I don't mind getting a government job so far as it has a good pay due to my field; and also on the other hand,I wouldn't mind owning a business but that's until I am ready; ready in the sense that I have saved up enough money to enable me start and promote my business. Some people still combine both in order to earn more as far as they are capable of doing so. Most people after retirement resort to starting up a business,some do this to avoid staying idle but in the end, it still boils down to making profit.
If a government job and a business is yielding the same pay, I would go for the government job due to the job security and pension after retirement.

It depends though, does who actually enjoy working for the government are the top officials. I have come across some government workers who are in debt, and are seriously struggling, most of them end up having their personal jobs they use in sustaining themselves and their family.

Well, straight up I think business is better than government job, because with a business you have full autonomy on how you run it and nobody can tell you otherwise or how to run it or what to do or what not to do.

With a business your income is exponential, your sales can skyrocket and you can make a fortune, but in a government job, the only money you make is your paltry salary which only increases during a promotion and even at that it won't be more than .5% 0r at highest 2%, and there a lot of supervisors that are always monitoring and if you don't have a good relationship with them they may end up reporting you to the boss and get you sacked.

Owning a business itself it's not el dorado because you have to work your ass off to be profitable and have a chance of getting rich but why I like this route is, everything is based on the individual and if you put in work you will see results in terms of profits and if you didn't you will see it too.

Government jobs are very scarce to come by and most people that get them don't get rich through out their lifetime.

Both government job andn business are very important , and choosing any one of them is solely based on individual choice and also some other factors that have to be critically analyzed before ever making the final decision .

The fact is that for you to be able to succeed in business as effectively as you may be thinking, it is very important to try and make sure that you have another source of income that will be covering up for some of those days that profits making would be difficult, and you won't be making good amount of money .

This is especially important , because of the fact that business does not usually go smoothly all of the time, and you have to be this so that you won't get frustrated easily .

Some individuals are just out there looking for how to make money and then they completely look down on the advantages of government jobs present .

I really do not think that this is right at all, because you have to make sure that you accept the government job first , so that you can be using your income from it to make good amount of money and saving towards starting your business m

The point is that , both of them comes with advantage and disadvantages. A lot of people are interested to work for the government because of the numerous benefits that is associated with working for the government . If you can work for the government at least you are very sure of having a pension after retirement which is always the main interest of so many people here since most private organisations do not gives opportunity for people to enjoy pension after retirement. Because of this so many people are interested to work for the government just because of the pension.

Also at the same time so many people might really be interested to engage in business because business also comes with it's own advantage and one of the advantage of business is that you can have time for yourself whereas this is not possible for government jobs. If you are working for the government you may not have opportunity to get enough free time in your life which is always very important to so many people.

Both of them are better but starting a successful business is the best because you can grow the business and make good profit compared to what they are paying you in government.

OK one may choose either government work or business depending on the country and continent the person is from. In most countries the government don't pay their workers and one will prefer to choose business rather than government work. Don't even forget that those who are even into the government sectors are still doing business.

I can say business is a good way to make money because nowadays, it is hardly to survive on government pay alone especially if you have kids and wife. At time you won't face much problems when your wife is working but if your wife is jobless, then you have to work extra hard.

Establishing business is stressful but is also a good way. Even there are some part of government sectors were is so stressful that running a business. I reason why I like business is you benefit from your own income rather than someone planning to give you what he think is good for him.

Business offers enormous ability to earn a lot of money. In fact it is pretty much impossible to attain a wealthy status with the business building and make unlimited profit for yourself.

But if I am to judge you to be the present situation of the country over here, it is prefer to go for the government job. If you are lucky enough it'll be good to obtain a Federal Government job because it is secure and usually come with fat salary with less stress.

You will always receive your salary consistently no matter what if you are working with the Federal Government in my country. Also you have more free time to do some other side or shoes that will bring them more money for you.

Couple with that, your salary will increase over time if you work hard and diligent enough with the work on the Federal Government level.

The only downside to it is that you can be posted to any part of the country. This can be nullified if you are someone who likes to bribe your way to the top.

The government policy does not favour business owner in my country. Couple with the fact that there is a short supply of electricity and accessibility to raw materials.
