Many people find ways to having a work for their family ..to buy their needs in everyday life. Some of them are too young but they are industrious person as well ,
For me the government need to make a program for poor people . Like this pandemic days ..
All of us are suffering .

I don't think it's the job of government to feed everybody and provide sustenance also, that's the work of the citizens.

You need to understand the role of government to you and the role of yourself to yourself, the only thing that government owes you is to provide an enabling provide for your venture and business to thrive and the onus is on you to make something out of it.

Even developed countries that provide food stamps for their citizens is basically out of pity and not really because it's on them.

In Nigeria, which obviously it's a developing country, government is already overwhelmed with a lot of things ranging from insecurity to dilapidated health care and educational sectors.

I think as citizens we should utilize other ways to make money and earn a living and zero our minds from anything that will come from government, I can still remember vividly last year during the pandemic, the government provided some incentives and most of them were sent directly to state governments but the officials decided to hoard them until angry rioters burst the place and cart away with the incentives.

So we have to rethink the role government plays in our lives.

Except you are living in a socialist state, communist or s totalitarian state, you don't depend on government to provide your needs. This is because, welfarism is not really the main functions of the government.

Government is only concerned with the provision of enabling environment for the citizens to fully utilize their potentials. If government needs or decides to be paying or catering for everybody, then I wonder how much money government will be wasting.

Citizens therefore needs to know how to cater for themselves by either empower themselves through education which may guarantee them good job or at worst enlightenment on how to utilize their potentials.

One of the American finest President urged the people never to wait for what their countries will do foy them but rather what they will do for their countries. This should be the yardstick of every citizen.

In the other hand, government needs to be careful and learn how to be responsive to the yearning by providing what they need at the right time. It is incumbent on that government to provide employment opportunities, create enabling environments for the entrepreneurship skills and also making sure there is program that can alleviate poverty among the citizens.

A country is consdere being rich and wealthy when the citizens can fend for themselves seamlessly in such a country.

No matter the level of development a Country can attain, it is impossible for the government to Carter for the needs of each and every individual. The main duties of government is to create a conducive environment which would enable its citizens to provide or fend for themselves. During the covid-19, in some part of African countries, it was a total disaster such that the level of penury could cause mortality death rate even more than effect of the so called Corona virus. Government have the duties and are obligated to provide some level of welfare at trying times like the pandemic which is beyond the citizens repair. Some governments made donations and relief materials for each household because it was necessary but unfortunately, still in some part of the world, some government showed their level of greed, negligence and non-welfarism towards their citizens.


The covid-19 relief materials were sent from other countries to ours, but it was so saddening that inspite of the level of hunger, calamity and penury, some government authorities has the mind to hoard those items in a warehouse which some of them got spoilt. Citizens became aware of this development and resorted to vandalizing those warehouses to get or salvage the remaining items that were not spoilt. This shows that, as citizens, we must take our destinies in our hands!

You're actually very right and at the same time very wrong.
You may find what I said weird, but that is actually the truth because there is no way the government can be able to provide for every citizen of a particular country. Even people in developed countries sometimes find it very hard to be catered for especially for those who are not privileged.

I have learnt over the years that there are some things you need to do as a citizen of a particular country and not depending on your government hundred percent for everything. If you really want to your country to be a great country then it is important you try as much as possible to get a job or possibly open your own business and employ a lot of people.

Even in countries like the United States of America and United kingdom, there are also less privileged people there who are suffering a lot even more than people in developing countries. Sometimes many people do not talk about these things but actually it is very true and existing because I have some people in those countries.

The best way in which the government can cater for the people is not to give them free money but to give them loans to start businesses or create jobs for them.

In order to buy food and shelter,money is required. Without this no one can complete their needs and wishes. So that's why, everyone do a lot of struggle for this.
And from my perspective you don't need to depend on other for money if you have proper skills or if you are educated. Because no one can feed you or your family the whole life . You should do something by yourself for your family.

If we will talking about government then goverment can only provide you a job opportunity and can give you some money to start the business.If you think that goverment will give you free money to your while life then it is not possible because if you are young and fit mentally and physically then you should work with your own hands .If you are educated then you can do some online jobs .Besides this if you don't like online jobs then you can work at any goverment or private sector.

I know that is true , but we shouldn't depend on the government or any government institution because the government won't really help in any way especially here in most African countries for people to look into .

Over here the government are just so selfish, they don't really care about the masses , they are just interested to fill their pocket as they are in the government . This make things quite difficult for people who are residing within such government

What I am trying to say is that , if you have opportunity try and do your things on your own and don't depend on the government because such program you are talking about me not likely be available specially in most African countries . This will be available in a country in which there is low rate of corruption.

Here everyone are just surviving base on what they can do and some people that have opportunity can get into the government through their educational qualification and some people who have opportunity to start up a business can benefit and some people that are lucky can get scholarship . Through scholarship the government can help because this one are always too obvious beyond being neglected .

Sorry I dear, the government can't do all these although I don't know the country you are coming from but the truth that the government has to provide jobs and not to directly put food on your table. Although we all saw what when on during the pandemic most country fed their citizens but was within a shot brief.

The main problem with most countries is the youth don't have jobs to do and this is the main issue. If you have job you will not ask for food from the government because you can take care of yourself and needs. In the top tier countries the governments have good measures that at least all the civilians are enjoying even if you are not rich you still have something to depend on. This is what you should rather think of it, how the government should provide jobs for the youth is the most necessary thing.

Poverty can be found anywhere, even in the corners of big cities such as California, San Francisco, Los Angeles, etc. We can't do much just donate perfunctory. The difference between poverty in developed countries and third countries is that in developed countries poverty comes from immigrants and the number is relatively small, while in developing countries poverty comes from indigenous people or local residents who have difficulty getting jobs. Although poverty and neglected children will be protected by the state according to the law, but that is just a slogan, government officials are more selfish and corrupt. My observations in many countries, they (government officials) have made very good plans and programs during the pandemic. Most plans and programs will only run at the beginning, the continuation is unknown and stalled.
