Go to the namecheap.com site and click on the "Sign Up" button. This will take you to the registration form. Enter your information and click "Continue". Complete all of your personal details and then select a password for your account. You will also need to provide information about your business (for example, contact information). Once this has been completed, click "Continue".

Select a domain type from the drop-down list (this is where you can choose between .com, .net, .org and so on). Then enter your domain name into the box provided and click "Check Availability". If it's available, great! If not, try another one! To do this simply keep clicking through until you find one that is free. Next, select whether or not you want privacy protection (it comes with an additional

cost) and then click "Checkout Now". You'll be taken through to Paypal where you can make payment using a credit card or Paypal account if you have one set up with them already. Make sure that everything is correct before submitting payment because once it's submitted there's no going back.
