A Youtube channel can be monetized in several ways:

Ad revenue: YouTube places advertisements on your videos and pays you a percentage of the revenue generated by those advertisements.

Sponsorships: You can create sponsored content for your channel by collaborating with brands. In your videos, you can include product reviews, shoutouts, or brand integrations.

Merchandise: You can design and sell your own merchandise, such as t-shirts, hats, and other accessories, and promote it on your channel.

Crowdfunding: You can raise funds for your channel or specific projects by using platforms such as Kickstarter or Indiegogo.

Affiliate marketing allows you to promote products or services on your channel while earning a commission on any sales made via your unique affiliate link.

You must have at least 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours in the previous 12 months to be eligible for monetization. Once you've met these requirements, you can apply for the YouTube Partner Program and begin monetizing your content.

Monetizing a YouTube channel is not a rocket science because there are some steps you need to take if you want to become successful as a YouTuber.

It is always important and necessary you identify a very good niche that has a lot of potentials to make you successful. After then you need to put in a lot of work to meet the 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours in order to be able to earn from YouTube Direct.

The beautiful thing is that as a new YouTuber you can even make money through affiliate marketing on your YouTube channel.

YouTube channel can't be monetize without any smart hard work. It's policy were very lenient some years before, as just you were needed to upload few videos and apply then you would have to receive the approval within few days, but now the condition has changed because their policy is changed and much more strict. You need to be select a niche in which you feel that you are already master at then further polish it, and then start uploading videos. Keep in mind that you have time constraint as you have to complete 1000 subscriber and 400 watch minute requirement within one year so your each and every video must be after very hard work according to viewers demand, so you'll be able to monetize your channel.

Monetization of YouTube channel will require you to meet up to their terms and condition. That is very important and most importantly you must have a certain number of subscriber and also a certain number of watch hours.
To be able to achieve this, constant posting of videos is necessary and at the same time you will also be required to post original content and not content you copied from someone or a content that is protected by copyright.

You can search more on what you are not expected to do as a new YouTuber who is trying to monetize a channel.
