Real estate management is a job that involves one to be very creative and smart. If we take a good look around these days, you would notice that there has been a lot of people that are venturing into this business. But with my experience about it, I can say that it is quite divided into two forms. The parts happens to be;
Ownership management
Caretaking
Ownership management: This is the part where one has to own the properties by his or herself. In this form, you must be rich enough to be able to buy your properties with your own money, and after you do that, you will be managing them by yourself. For example, someone that builds houses and owns lands for either rent or sale, such person is the original owner and still the manager of them all at the same time.
Caretaking: In this aspect, you will get to help people to manage their properties, this are mainly for the owners that do not have the time to take care of it, so they will employ a caretaker to help them look after it. There are different types of contracts attached to this, some are being paid in salary, and the other one that I know about is where the agent gets to make his or her commission.
