In my experience with passive income, especially from mid range earners, passive income is not much compared to active income, let's take a blog for example, you will make more money from actively writing helpful contents than relying on the affiliate links on your website, let's also take Trendri for example, users make more money by actively posting contents than their affiliate links, how do we solve this problem.
I think the best way to solve this problem is by having multiple channels of earning passive income, so that when you add everything together you will have a healthy margin but relying on one channel alone is definitely not going to make you any money, so you have to weave more baskets, this means you have to look for more oppurtunities, there are different ways you can do this, looking out at other industries outside your own, or using your already established business as a leverage to kickstart another income stream.
You can also look at fixed deposits, this can be built overtime and you get to live on the interest that your money earn, this is only possible though if you have a large enough capital running into millions else the returns will not be worth it at all.
