Absenteeism is a common issue in the workplace. It is frequently failing to report to work. Some employees make it a habit to be absent from work even when there is no valid reason for their absence. This can be harmful to the company, especially if deadlines must be met. Anxiety or stress, medical appointments, and toxic coworkers are some of the causes of absenteeism. Here are some suggestions for dealing with office absenteeism.

Collect information: Take the time to gather information about your employee's absences. After that, show it to him/her, and he/she will be unable to ignore it. Have a discussion so you will know his/her reason.

Impose Policies: Provide your employees with handbooks outlining the company's absenteeism policies. Allow them to sign the handbook and ensure that they understand everything on it. Inquire if they have any reservations about the policies.

Give Rewards: Employees who consistently come to work should be rewarded. It can be as simple as providing free breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It could be a massage or spa certificate that they can use to pamper themselves.

Offer Assistance: Offer assistance if your employee is absent due to a death in the family or medical issues. Show your concern. It can be as simple as a hug or letter.
