Becoming a Professional
Becoming a professional Kung Fu teacher involves more than just earning your black belt. Learn the ropes to getting started, and how to earn as much money as possible, below.

Define Your Niche
First things first: what type of Kung Fu do you want to teach? Will you specialize in only one style and commitment level? Or would you prefer to offer multiple styles at different levels and rates?

Find a Dojo, Studio or Space
Once you have an idea of the type of classes you'll teach, it's time to find a studio or dojo that can accommodate your needs. You may be able to teach at a studio where you took classes as a child, but there are other options to consider as well. If you live in a large metro area, check out options like teaching at local community centers or opening your own studio.

Decide on Pricing
How much will you charge for your classes? How will payment work for private lessons versus group lessons? Make sure that your pricing is competitive within your market. Check out comparable offers in your area and make sure that whatever price point you select is fair to both yourself and your students.
