Being bored at work is the worst, and you're not alone. According to one study, nearly half of all employees say they're bored during at least part of the day.
1. Talk to a manager about your issues. Maybe the problem isn't that you're bored it's that there isn't enough work for you to do (lol). Or maybe you need help finding more challenging tasks that will keep you engaged. Either way, talking to your boss can help get you on track.
2. Learn something new. No better time than now to start building up your resume! Taking online courses, reading industry magazines, or researching new skills can help get rid of the monotony of doing the same thing every day.
3. Shake up your routine. Do something different on your lunch break—maybe go for a walk outside or eat lunch with another team member instead of eating at your desk like you normally do. You'll be surprised how much that little bit of change can brighten up your day!
