Food and clothes are essential expenses, however, many people overlook how much they should be spending on essential items. For instance, food and clothes but many people waste money on things they don't really need. For instance, they end up buying clothes that they do not actually need ot spend money on foods that are nothing but guilty pleasures. With some effort, you could probably slash at least half of what you spend on food and clothes. If you are wealthy, you might not need to cut most of your expenses. But if money is tight and you don’t have savings or investment it's wise to stop buying things you could live without.

I don't agree with your opinion if we have to cut food costs, so that we get food that is of low quality or does not have sufficient nutrition and vitamins so that gradually the body will become sick. Meanwhile, clothing will depend on a person's job, such as lawyers, financial consultants who are always in contact with clients also need neat clothes. Cutting costs is necessary, but in items such as the cost of hanging out at cafes, reducing eating out of the house, stopping Netflix subscriptions, etc.

You can find areas to reduce your expenditure by looking at your budget, prioritize needs over wants, compare prices before you buy essential things, buy in big quantities for saving money and minimize utility bills through using less energy and water. Such items as food, housing, utilities, healthcare and transportation are considered as basic needs. Look out for alternatives or cheaper places where you can get important goods with discounts. There is a need to consider cost-effectiveness and practicability when purchasing goods in large quantities. So turn off electronics that are not needed so as to save on power consumption rates or simply use online shopping sites and those doing comparison of the prices to know the best bargains available.
