Transportation is inevitable. It is one of the foremost characteristics of living things. The need to move from one place to another. We have to move to our workplaces, worship centers, events, and relatives' homes while also moving back home. The need for transportation is sure. The daily expenses for transportation can help a huge chunk of our monthly income.

To cut transportation costs, there are tips you could take. First of all, leave the house early to wherever you are going. By so doing, you can afford to trek some of the distance to where you are going so your costs can reduce. Trekking is also a form of exercise. So it is good in both ways.

Secondly, you can get a bicycle. It would help you enormously in cutting transportation costs. You just mount it and ride it to wherever you are going. You don't need to fuel it.

Well, what you have mentioned are good ways to reduce transportation cost but it may not be very effective and imagine having to travel 20 kilometers. You may not trek even a quarter of that distance and you'll be already tired. So I think this will only apply when the distance is not much but otherwise, this may not really be effective.

And in some regions, bicycles are not really regarded as a means of transportation: it is actually.
It will be weird seeing an accountant or medical doctor riding to work especially in this part of the world, Africa.

But a way that you can cut transport cost is by first knowing where you're so as to avoid boarding vehicles at many points which may cost more. Getting a taxi is less expensive than boarding a bike in my region. So you may take that to reduce what you spend on transportation.
