At retirement you can still be resourceful as you were during your active days at work. The only difference is that you would doing it now outside your work.

This is why it is good to always adopt ways to be able to create useful and unique solutions in challenging situations. So with retirement one can still be resourceful by adopting productive, useful, and purposeful activities which includes:

Start by taking a sabbatical or extended vacation to recharge your batteries and see how you can deal with the slower pace of life.

Take out a part-time work after retirement. This will help you supplement your income while keeping you socially engaged

Stay alive by Volunteering through donating your time and effort to a cause that will give you a sense of accomplishment to your retirement life,

Don't forget to nurture hobbies and interests. Create opportunity to invest more of your time to pursuing it and nurture new ones,

In today's world, you don't just retire and die. Medical advancement has given people an average of 30 years to live after retirement. How can a sane person think he/ she would allow this long time to be unproductive? That's why we are advocating for people to plan their retirements so that it would not get them startled at the point of retirement.

You can set up a business to run it swiftly before you retire. If you have academic and teaching skills, you can go work part-time as a teacher in one of the private schools. It is very important to think of how they could be productive after retirement.

I know of a man that ventured into full-time agriculture after retirement. The man still makes good money just from paw-paw and doesn't lack food. He still looks healthy. It is important to plan your retirement in order to enjoy it.

After you've retired, you might feel like you've lost your mojo. You might feel like there's nothing that gets you excited about the world around you. You might even be feeling a little bored and if so, you're not alone.

But there's a way to get back in the game! It's called "being a resourceful retiree,".

Here are some of favorite ways to be resourceful after retirement:

1) Read! Reading is one of the best ways to learn new things and how-to's about almost anything. And it's also really good for your brain! So if you have time to read, read!

2) Take pictures! Grab your phone or camera (or both) and take lots of pictures of people, places, things that interest you… whatever inspires you. The best part? Once they're taken, they'll still be with you forever!

3) Travel! It's true: traveling can make a person feel more connected to their community and the world around them.

One thing i like about retirement is that it gives one the chance and time to engage in what one loves doing. A lot of people do not actually like their job. They work simple for the pay with little or no interest in their jobs. Retirement gives these set of people the chance to be resourceful and also to practice what they have passion for.
One can be resourceful after retirement in the following ways;
  • Go outing. One could go outing with friends or family. Some people spend all their time working and they hardly have time for their loved one's Retirement period gives one the chance to spend as much time as one like with loved ones.
  • Spending more time doing one's hobby. It could be cooking or playing instruments or even anything one considers a hobby. Retirement gives one enough time for one's hobby.
