How to be a Productive CEO

Yes—you are the boss. You call the shots. You get to make all the decisions, from what hours you work to where you work from. But with this freedom comes a lot of responsibility. No one will tell you when to get up in the morning and start working, no one will set your deadlines for you. It's up to you to build and manage your business' reputation, to keep yourself on track with your finances, and not just have time for but actually do all the work you need to do.
So how do people pull it off? How do they create their own success story instead of becoming one of the many who fail?

Here are three keys that can help:
Your mindset should be that of a business owner. You are no longer an employee, you are the CEO of your own company. You must treat yourself as such. Run things by the book. Do not let money get ahead of yourself. Without a boss, it's easy to slack off and do only what is needed, but you don't want to be a one-hit wonder. You need to take care of your clients, and continue to bring new ones in.

You will also need to create some sort of schedule for yourself so that you know that you're spending enough time on work and other activities each day. You have to do this so your business will not crumble.
