In the age of teleworking, many people are looking for ways to stay productive and on track while working from home. Here are some tips to help you get started:
1. Set your own schedule. This can be hard sometimes, but if you've got a high-powered job and a demanding boss, it's really worth it! You don't have to do anything twice as hard because you're used to doing things at a certain time.
2. Make sure that you're getting enough sleep each night. You'll be more productive if you don't feel like you're running on fumes when you wake up in the morning or if your brain is fuzzy from lack of sleep.
3. Turn off all external distractions during work hours so that they don't interrupt your concentration and cause unnecessary stress while trying to get tasks done. For example, turn off social media notifications or keep your phone on silent so that it doesn't buzz or ring while working at home on something important (like an interview).
4. Keep track of your time. It's easy to lose track of how much time you're spending on different tasks if they're spread over several days or weeks, so make sure you keep an eye on how much time is being spent in each project.
5. Get up and move around! There's nothing like a little exercise even if it's just walking around the block to help clear your head and keep your mind sharp as well as help keep your body healthy by giving it some cardio-respiratory activity throughout the day (which also helps with concentration).
