Tenants also have rights just like the property owners to sue. if an issue can't be resolve amicably. The property owner or landlord will need to answer accordingly.
So if you are a property owner and you are sue by your tenants. You need to respond in the following ways
Start by going through the case that is before the court. Then speak to your attorney about it
Try to gather as much evidence as possible if you know you are not guilty of the charges stated in the suit.
Advice your lawyer to try and counter all the claims that are untrue. You need to back this up though with facts and evidence.
Allow the Attorney to check for amiable claim in the case. You can go ahead to hire the lawyer to defend you in court.
You don't need to confront the tenant as the case is already in court.
