Tenants also have rights just like the property owners to sue. if an issue can't be resolve amicably. The property owner or landlord will need to answer accordingly.

So if you are a property owner and you are sue by your tenants. You need to respond in the following ways

Start by going through the case that is before the court. Then speak to your attorney about it

Try to gather as much evidence as possible if you know you are not guilty of the charges stated in the suit.

Advice your lawyer to try and counter all the claims that are untrue. You need to back this up though with facts and evidence.

Allow the Attorney to check for amiable claim in the case. You can go ahead to hire the lawyer to defend you in court.

You don't need to confront the tenant as the case is already in court.

What do you think?

As long as the owner of the properties have the right of ownership to the house , the tenants also have the right of belonging since he or she has paid for a stipulated time for the rentage of the house or properties .

So If the landlord breaches the agreements between him and the tenant , let's say for example the tenant pays for electricity bill and the landlord decided to spend the money and the tenant electricity was disconnected, mthe tenant has the right to file a charge against his or her landlord .
And if your tenant charge you to court and you think you are right asbthe landlord , all you need is try and get the neccesary document and proof that will proof and vindicate you in the court of law . And as a landlord , you don't need to start having a fight with your tenant.

Your last sentence is just it, it Is not because you are the landlord of a place you think that the tenant has no right but the tenants know their rights and will utilize it when necessary

The truth of the matter is that you need to satisfy your tenants to avoid any law suit. There need to be good landlord and tenant relationship if everyone needs to coexist in peace.

But if a tenant dis agree with any of the action of the landlord and maybe had try sorting out to avail. The best bet will be to suit the landlord.

The landlord should not complicate issues by confronting the tenants rather it will be better to seek the advice of a lawyer that's if the landlord can't still settle the issue amicably with the tenants. it is always good to sort issues out though than starting any litigation that might take too long to resolve.
