Baking soda is a great DIY acne treatment, but it's not the miracle cure you might think it is. It's true that baking soda has an effect on acne-causing bacteria, but it's not nearly as strong as other treatments. Baking soda isn't going to clear up your skin overnight. but then again, neither will most other products.

Why is baking soda useful?

Blackheads and whiteheads may be effectively removed using baking soda. Additionally, it aids in reducing the redness and irritation brought on by zits and their remains.

How to cure acne at home with baking soda?

1. Mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda with 1 tablespoon of water in an empty tub or container.

2. Apply this mixture directly onto the affected area, leave on for 15 minutes, then rinse off with warm water or showering time (if you have access). If you're using a tub or container that doesn't allow for rinsing, try adding a few drops of tea tree oil or lavender essential oil for additional benefits!
