As humans generally and as Africans specifically, given the biting economic conditions, we are always striving to maximize our satisfaction from our limited resources. This has led to many practices and decisions all in a bid to maximize our satisfaction. One of those decisions that we make is the purchase used items instead of going for new ones. We get to buy used phones, used electronics, used cars, etc. That is because used items are always cheap. But is it cost-effective in the long run to buy used products?

If you ask me, I would say a complete yes. From my experience, it is better to buy used products. I would make a special case for UK-used products. If you can set your eyes on a true Uk used product, just buy it. I am using a Uk used Huawei phone that I bought for NGN15,000 in Nigeria. Truly speaking, the phone can't be compared in terms of hardware, features, and durability with a brand new Tecno phone that my friend bought NGN32, 000 just two weeks ago.

Used products are cost-effective in the long and short run.
