Four Best Passive Income Sources

Print-On-Demand

You can sell the same product again and again and make a lot of money. If you use Printify and Printful, you will have to integrate with your own website or ecommerce marketplaces. If you use redbubble and Amazon, you can sell from these platforms without the need for integration. You need product designing skills, as well as knowledge and skills on SEO and marketing.

eBooks

You can either write yourself or hire someone to write for you. You can earn as much as 70 percent royalty if you sell through Amazon. If you publish a lot of ebooks on micro-niches and market your ebooks properly, you can actually make a lot of money.

Affiliate Marketing

Forget about using Amazon Associate or Clickbank, instead find programs that offer affiliate commissions. Start promoting products that not many people are promoting but have a lot of use cases.

Youtube

If youtube worked for you, it can actually replace your day job. You can even become a millionaire.

These are certainly some of the best passive income sources. The best thing about these methods is they are completely free to start. However, if you are interested in using these methods, you need to build skills in related niches. For example, if you want to do print-on-demand, you need graphic designing skills, you need to create designs for your product. You also need SEO and marketing skills because without SEO you cannot rank your items and without marketing you cannt generate sales. Likewise, if you want to build passive income through youtube, you need video making skills, video editing skills, as well as SEO and digital marketing. Making money from eBooks is not all about writing, it is also about marketing. Actually SEO and digital marketing skills are essential if you want to work and make money online. No matter what you do online, you need to do SEO and digital marketing.

I don't consider YouTube as a passive income source, not does Youtubers are considering it that way. You need to keep uploading new videos (remaining active), if you want to keep your channel monetized. Although this is hard to believe, yet some youtubers have this to say.

E-books too are less to consider, I tried in the past, it needs active promotion, unless your e-books reach the first page in Google search result.

Affiliate marketing might be a good option, but only if you have your own active affiliates, otherwise you have to keep promoting links, banners, which is active earning.

The truth is that there is really no way of earning that is completely passive in the true sense of the word. Everything requires some type of follow up at one point or another to continue yielding income.

I think publishing ebooks would be a nice way of earning money passively after you've put in the initial work to publish it, but I know that even on Amazon Kindle that has traffic, you still need to promote your books in other places and possibly, keep on publishing other books if you want take decent pay from it.

One business that's somewhat passive in my region is the storage of food stuffs. During the rainy season, food is harvested and is cheap. Most people don't have the means to store their extra produce for the dry season when things become more expensive. People who have storage space purchase the excess, preserve it and sell it later for a neat profit.

Passive income is very great and you have listed some of the ways through which one can earn passive income easily.

Writing and publishing ebooks may be passive at some point and others it is active because you have to exert a level of energy into it some point.

Like for instance on the platform Amazon kdp, you will need to write and publish from time to time though you can write an ever green model and that model will generate income you forever as far as it is still on display and available for purchase on the platform. Sure publishing is another way to earn passive income

Book publishing in all forms, be it online or hardcopy, through Amazon KDP or other publishers is probably the easiest way to make passive income online now. No matter how advanced and distracted we get, people will always want to read to gain new information.

There are even low or no content books right now, colouring books, calendars and much more that people like.

Blogging is a great one too. If you don't rank first all the time, you can still make money, especially if you blog on an evergreen topic. You can also expand your blog to link with other topics which rank well, making money consistently.
