One of the main factor that can make an individual lost interest in his or her job is taking up a job that is above your standards. For example a person might study the cause of being a mechanical engineer but ends up becoming a teacher in a nursery school. There is a tendency that such person might lost interest in such a job because that is not actually his or her dream job

Lack of maintenance-when a person fails to maintain his or her job is likely to loss interest in such a job.For example a person who deals in food production must always ensure that his or her facility is always kept clean. But when he or she fails to do so he will lose lot of customers and as well lose his interest in the job

There are different factors that can lead to loss of interest in a job. The following post takes a look at five factors that can lead to this and the steps one can take to combat it.

If you're bored or feeling uninspired from your work, you might be experiencing loss of interest and there are things you can do about it. Here are 3 factors that contribute to a lack of interest in your current position and what you can do when they arise.

- "A lack of career growth" - If being at the same level for too long becomes redundant, find ways around this issue by seeking out additional training or volunteering for more responsibility within your company, etc.

- "Work responsibilities aren't something you enjoy" - If you are stuck in a position that does not have anything to do with your interests, like being a salesperson when you would rather be an accountant, take a look at your resume and see if there are any positions that would better suit your interests. There is no point in being miserable.

- "Feeling unsupported by your boss" - If one of the above happens and you don't feel supported by your boss or the company for reasons such as a lack of financial support for continuing education opportunities or just general lack of communication regarding your performance, find another job where you don't feel this way.

monotonous of the job: Doing one thing over and over again will bring boredom and before you know it, you would be finding the job very boring

Lack of incentive: Employers will need to know this, that a job will be unattractive to a worker as the days go by. So make the jobs enticing agsin by providing incentives and help the job great for the workers to stay put.

lack of new learning process: You can renew the minds of the workers by enabling them have a way of learning new things even on the job. This will help them still love their job. No body want to be static. This will help them know that the grass isn't greener on the other side.

There are so many things that can make one loose interest in their jobs. For instance as you said, not having skills in that job will not be so great. You will be struggling so much because you don't actually know what needs to be done. Plus you are not passionate about it and so you don't see yourself growing in that field.

Another thing is that you may be going through so much stress because of your authorities in the workplace. Some leaders in workplaces can be so humiliating. They never see you ass competent worker yet you do all you can to provide the best work. Worst of all is when they start publicly harassing you, that will make you loose interest fully.

You could also loose interest because of your relationship with fellow workers. Especially if you don't seem to get along with anyone. So you spend most of your time there stressed.
