Elon Musk is Stepping Down as Twitter CEO

The new owner of Twitter Inc., Elon Musk, was putting a lot of time and effort into the social media site. But everything has an end, and he will, regrettably, lose his position as CEO earlier than expected. He established a poll on December 19 asking Twitter users whether they thought he should stand down as Twitter's CEO. He further stated that he will follow the findings of the poll.

Surprisingly, out of nearly 18 million votes, 57.5% believe that he should resign. According to the final results, more than 10 million users wanted him gone. It appeared like Musk was not angry about the outcomes. He actually kept his word and declared his intention to step down as CEO. He will instead concentrate on managing the software and servers team. Until he finds someone "Foolish Enough" to take over as CEO of Twitter, he will continue in his current position.

Many prominent users came to voice their opinions when he announced his departure. For instance, CZ of Binance wishes Musk would stick to his plan and carry on as usual. The founder of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin, too added his two cents, praising Musk for keeping his word. Dogecoin's price, meanwhile, dropped by 5% right away and is currently trading at $0.0731533.

Final Thoughts
While some people are happy that Musk won't be the CEO any longer, others are upset that he is. Keep in mind, though, that he is simply giving up his position as CEO. He still runs Twitter, and he won't be leaving anytime soon. Since he can still tweet excessively and change regulations, it probably won't be a major deal. During his brief two-month tenure as CEO of Twitter, significant changes are already in the works. Donald Trump was reinstated, among many other changes. He fought with Apple Inc. What will happen when he steps down as CEO?
