I have checked the laws that govern property letting in most countries. One thing looks obvious. It seems that these laws tilt to favor the tenants. It is like the landlord is ultimately at the mercy of tenants. One of the laws states that the landlord should not seize or interfere with the tenant's access to the property for any reason. This law literally gives the full right of your own house to the tenant and strips you of any attempt to discipline the shortcomings of the tenant. Another law states that if you want to eject a tenant, you should give him/her 6 months' notice to find a house. And if the tenant could not find a place within that six months, you have to extend it till the tenant can find another house. Even ejecting someone from your property is strenuous for you. Should the property letting laws be reviewed to give some leverage to the landlords?
