When my mother died, my father and my siblings decided to sell our family home. My father is going back to the US and all my siblings have the same plan. They had a buyer who will buy the house via a bank mortgage. The buyer applied for the loan in a big bank. When the loan was approved the deed of sale was requested by the bank.
For a quicker transaction my brother forged the signature of my deceased mother (the title was in the name of my parents). That’s when the issue arose because the bank knew that my mother was deceased because my wife happened to be working in that bank. It was really a big mistake that the buyer cancelled her loan application and applied to another bank. That is a good lesson for us.
