Eating emotionally is the use of food as a way to cope with emotions rather than as a way to calm hunger. It has happened to all of us at times, when we have finished a whole bag of potato chips.

Just out of boredom or have devoured one cookie after another while preparing for an important exam or an interview. But when done on a regular basis, especially without being aware of it, emotional eating can affect weight, health, and general well-being.

Not many people make the connection between eating and emotions. But understanding what triggers emotional eating behaviour can help you take the necessary steps to quit. One of the main myths about emotional eating is that it is triggered by negative emotions.

Eating emotionally is not a thing at all. I think this do occur one is face with one problem or the other. This can occur when there is economic problem in the country or Nation. And also it can be as a result of no food at home or sickness can also cause eating food emotionally.
