There are always existing customers in a niche of business you are starting, but you still capture market share if your strategies are innovative enough. So if you intend to snatch more market share, you can use the following strategies:

Respond to customers very fast:

Make sure to always be nearby to pick your calls or respond to your customer’s messages as fast as you can

Use up customer’s ideas:

Take a larger part of the market by listening to the ideas of the customers and put the ideas to work. Customers flock to where they were listened to.

Apply flexibility:

Don’t be static or stiff with change in your business; follow trends, innovations and what is working at that time. It will draw more customers and make you capture the customers of your competitors.

I agree with the quick response to the customer. My take on that issue is to treat customers like a guest in your home. Give him anything that can make him comfortable. For an online business answer his query with an additional information that is relevant to his question. Write the message as if you are messaging a friend or a relative who is close to you. The reader would feel your genuine concern especially when there is an issue that needs to be resolved. The customer is the lifeblood of the business that is about sales so you should always hold the customer in high esteem especially the good customers that pay on time.
